What we collect and why

Email address. When you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address. We use it only to send you: new patch announcements, compatibility update notifications, and occasional site news. We do not sell your address to third parties and do not send third-party promotional emails. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.

Contact and game request form submissions. If you use our contact or game request forms, the submission (name, email, message or game title) is logged temporarily in Cloudflare's Workers log. It is not stored in any permanent database. Log retention follows Cloudflare's default retention policy (typically 7 days or less).

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects anonymised data including page views, session duration, device type, and approximate geographic location. GA4 sets cookies in your browser. You can opt out of GA4 tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

We display advertisements via Ezoic (an approved Google AdSense partner). Ezoic uses cookies to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance. The cookie consent banner on this site controls when Ezoic cookies are set — no Ezoic cookies are placed before you interact with the banner.

We also include affiliate links to game retailers (Humble Bundle, Fanatical). Clicking these links may set a cookie on the retailer's site, which may result in us receiving a small commission if you make a purchase. This does not affect the price you pay. Affiliate links are clearly labeled on patch pages.

Cookies

• gs_consent — stores your cookie consent choice (localStorage, not a cookie; never sent to our servers).
• Google Analytics cookies — set by GA4 for analytics measurement.
• Ezoic / advertising cookies — set after consent for ad personalisation.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — used for bot protection on forms; no personal data stored.

Your rights

Under GDPR (if you are in the EU/EEA) and CCPA (if you are in California), you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we store only email addresses (via MailerLite), you can exercise these rights by unsubscribing from our mailing list or contacting us at privacy@gamescrubber.com.
